  Final Chance to Win a Wii
This is the last time that KISSFM 103.5 Street Freaks will be out at Kiddieland to liven things up. They will be here from 2-4pm on Saturday. These wild and crazy guys will be playing games, giving away lots of cool stuff like key chains, T-shirts, CD's and DVD's. In addition, they will be demoing a Nintendo Wii and asking all of our guests to sign up to win a Nintendo Wii system for their home entertainment. The Street Freaks will pick the name of one lucky winner and send them a Wii to their home. |

   Dora's Last Visit!
Dora the Explorer from Nickelodeon is planning one last visit to do some more exploring in Melrose Park this weekend and will be visiting Kiddieland from 2-7PM Saturday, Sunday & Labor Day Monday to meet and greet our guests. This special little girl is a very positive role model that all kids love. You and the entire family will want to come out and see Dora one last time and have your picture taken with her at the Kiddieland Gazebo.
Dora will also bring along Boots, Backpack and Mr. Map for her final visit of 2009. Put this date on your calendar and make sure your explorations find you and your entire family at Kiddieland on this Labor Day weekend 2009! |

 wttw11 is bringing out an old favorite to Kiddieland one last time, its Arthur. Arthur visited Kiddieland last September and our Guests loved seeing him again after so long, so wttw11 agreed to bring him back this past May and again for one last visit. Arthur will be here for his final visit to Kiddieland to meet and greet all of our Guests from 2-7pm on both Saturday & Sunday at the Kiddieland gazebo. Bring Mom and Dad with you to the gazebo and get a picture of the entire family with this friendly character from wttw11. |

| September 19 & 20, 2009 - (Saturday & Sunday) |
wttw11 is brought out this new character to Kiddieland last May - Word Girl! She is the star of one of PBS's most popular television series. Word Girl, a new champion from the planet Lexicon rizes up to protect the innocent, right the wrongs and throw around a bunch of pretty impressive words. Stranded on Earth when her monkey pilot, Captain Huggy Face, crash-landed her space ship, she lives with her adoptive parents, the Botsfords as fifth-grader Becky Botsford . Word Girl, (Becky) has an amazing vocabulary and uses it as part of her super powers. We are so glad to have her out at Kiddieland for a second time to meet and greet our Guests during our 81st season of Family Fun! Who doesn't want a better vocabluary? So Worrrrd Up! and make plans to come out and visit Word Girl! She will be out at  the park to meet and greet our Guests from 2-7pm both Saturday & Sunday. Why not come out and meet her and even take your picture with her. Maybe Mom & Dad will get in the picture too. Won't that be a great addition to the family photo album! |

 wttw11 is bringing back another character for a last visit to Kiddieland, it's Curious George! PBS launched the animated television series Curious George, based on the internationally beloved children's classic in fall of 2006, so we invited him to Kiddieland in 2007and our Guests loved him so much that he came back twice last year to help us celebrate our 80th season and now he's back to help us celebrate our 81st season of Family Fun! Who isn't smitten with Curious George? No matter your age, the inquisitive little fellow who always seems to get into one scrape after another has, in all likelihood, captured your heart.
Curious George will be out at the park to meet and greet our Guests for the final time from 2-7pm both Saturday & Sunday. Don't miss your last chance to come out and meet him and even take your picture with him. Maybe Mom & Dad will get in the picture too. Won't that be a great addition to the family photo album! Curious George has the honor of being the last PBS character to visit our park at the end of 81 seasons of Family Fun! |
