| May 9 & 10, 2009 - (Saturday & Sunday) |
 wttw11 is bringing out an old favorite to Kiddieland this season, its Clifford - the Big Red Dog! Clifford visited Kiddieland last September and many of our younger Guests really loved it and asked to have him back. Well the wait is over, Clifford will be here to meet and greet all of our Guests from 2-7pm on both Saturday & Sunday at the Kiddieland gazebo. Bring Mom and Dad with you to the gazebo and get a picture of the entire family with this cuddly character from wttw11. This will be the first of two visits by Clifford this season. So mark your calendars and plan a visit to Kiddieland for both of Clifford's visits! |

wttw11 is bringing a new character to Kiddieland in 2009, it's Word Girl! She is the star of one of PBS's most popular television series. Word Girl, a new champion from the planet Lexicon rizes up to protect the innocent, right the wrongs and throw around a bunch of pretty impressive words. Stranded on Earth when her monkey pilot, Captain Huggy Face, crash-landed her space ship, she lives with her adoptive parents, the Botsfords as fifth-grader Becky Botsford . Word Girl, (Becky) has an amazing vocabulary and uses it as part of her super powers. We are so glad to have her out at Kiddieland to meet and greet our Guests during our 81st season of Family Fun! Who doesn't want a better vocabluary? So Worrrrd Up! and make plans to come out and visit Word Girl! She will be out at  the park to meet and greet our Guests from 2-7pm both Saturday & Sunday. Why not come out and meet her and even take your picture with her. Maybe Mom & Dad will get in the picture too. Won't that be a great addition to the family photo album! |

 wttw11 will be out at Kiddieland from 2-4pm to host a wttw11 kids event. There will be coloring and plenty of give-a-ways. They are here to help us celebrate the first visit of Word Girl to Kiddieland . Stop by and visit either before of after visiting Word Girl at our gazebo. |

  Win a Wii
KISS FM Family Day at Kiddieland. The KISSFM 103.5 Street Freaks will be out at Kiddieland to liven things up from 2-4pm. These wild and crazy guys will be playing games, giving away lots of cool stuff like key chains, T-shirts, CD's and DVD's. In addition, they will be demoing a Nintendo Wii and asking all of our guests to sign up to win a Nintendo Wii system for their home entertainment. The Street Freaks will pick the name of one lucky winner and send them a Wii to their home. |

Dora the Explorer from Nickelodeon is one of the most popular visitors to Kiddieland and she is planning on doing some more exploring in Melrose Park during the Memorial Day weekend. We asked if she had time to stop by and visit with our Guests and guess what? She will be visiting Kiddieland from 2-7PM Saturday, Sunday & Monday to meet and greet our guests. This special little girl is a very positive role model that all kids  love. You and the entire family will want to come out and meet Dora and have your picture taken with her at the park. Dora will also bring along Boots, Backpack and Mr. Map. Put this date on your calendar and make sure your explorations find you at Kiddieland on this weekend! |

 WBBM-FM, B96 Street Team will be out at Kiddieland for the first installment of "Kiddie-Kart Grand Prix". Children will get to race Big  Wheels around a designated course right here at Kiddieland four times in 2009. The fastest racers will qualify to win a great prize. We are working out the details with the B96 Street Team and will post more details as they become available. Boys & Girls start your engines and race on over to Kiddieland and take part in the B96 "Kiddie-Kart Grand Prix". |

| May 30 & 31, 2009 - (Saturday & Sunday) |
"SpongeBob Square Pants" will make his first visit of the summer to Kiddieland. This Nickelodeon character visited our park in 2007 & 2008 and our Guests have been asking to have him back ever since. So, we got him to come back this season. SpongeBob will splash his way into the hearts of all of our guests when he visits from 2-7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Come out and meet SpongeBob Square Pants.  You won't need your swimming suit, he'll be at our Gazebo. You can have Mom or Dad take your picture with this under the sea star. Maybe Mom or Dad will want their picture taken too. How great would that be?
